Another person, Samir Ahmed, 40, has died at the National Burn Hospital in the gas line explosion fire incident in Halishahar, Chittagong. With this, the death toll has risen to three. Samir died while undergoing treatment at the ICU of the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute at around 12:30pm on Tuesday (February 24). Assistant Professor Dr. Shaon Bin Rahman, resident physician at the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute, said that he died in the ICU at around 12:30pm. He had 45 percent burns on his body and had inhalation injuries. With this, the death toll has risen to three. He also said that the condition of the remaining six people is critical.

চট্টগ্রামে হালিশহরে গ্যাস লাইন বিস্ফোরণে আগুনের ঘটনায় সামির আহমেদ (৪০) নামে জাতীয় বার্নে আরো একজনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। এই নিয়ে মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা দাঁড়িয়েছে তিনজনে। মঙ্গলবার (২৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি) দুপুর সাড়ে ১২টার দিকে জাতীয় বার্ন ও প্লাস্টিক সার্জারি ইনস্টিটিউটের আইসিইউতে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় সামিরের মৃত্যু হয়। জাতীয় বার্ন প্লাস্টিক সার্জারি ইনস্টিটিউটে আবাসিক চিকিৎসক সহকারী অধ্যাপক ডা: শাওন বিন রহমান জানান, দুপুর সাড়ে ১২টার দিকে আইসিইউতে তার মৃত্যু হয়েছে। শরীরে ৪৫ শতাংশ দগ্ধ ছিল, তার ইনহেলিশন ইনজুরি ছিল। এই নিয়ে মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা তিনজনে দাঁড়াল। বাকি ছয়জনের অবস্থা আশঙ্কাজনক বলেও জানান তিনি।
