According to Election Commission sources, the election for the reserved women's seats will be held on May 12. The 50 reserved women's seats in the National Parliament are allocated at the rate of one seat for every six general members.

Based on this calculation, the BNP-led alliance is set to get 36 seats, the Jamaat-backed alliance 13 seats, and independent candidates one seat in the current parliament.

The Election Commission has said preparations to hold the election smoothly have been made, completing all activities according to the schedule.
