Germany congratulates newly elected President Mirza Fakhrul

Germany has congratulated Bangladesh's newly elected President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, wishing him success in his new role.

The German Embassy in Dhaka conveyed the message in a statement on Friday (August 21), extending its sincere greetings to Mirza Fakhrul on assuming the presidency.

The German government also expressed confidence that the existing close partnership between Bangladesh and Germany would grow stronger during his tenure.

In its congratulatory message, Berlin highlighted the longstanding friendly ties between the two countries and expressed hope for greater cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Germany also said it looked forward to further expanding bilateral cooperation and strengthening the friendship between the two countries in the coming days.
