Girls outperform boys in SSC results again
Girls have once again outperformed boys in SSC and equivalent examinations, recording higher pass rates and securing more GPA-5 grades across the country’s 11 education boards.
The pass rate among female students stood at 66.68 percent, compared with 57.86 percent among male students, according to results announced Monday (August 10).
Girls also led in the top GPA-5 category. Of the 116,676 students who achieved GPA-5 this year, 63,896 were girls, while 52,780 were boys.
A total of 1,138,877 students passed the examinations. Among them, 607,939 were girls and 530,938 were boys.
Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Haque Milan announced the results at a press conference held at the conference room of the Secondary and Higher Education Division under the Ministry of Education at around 10:00am.
