Government working to ensure inclusive education for all: Bobby Hajjaj

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj has said the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, is working to build an inclusive education system that ensures equal opportunities for every child, regardless of physical or other limitations.

He made the remarks on Thursday while addressing a special screening and discussion of the documentary "Payer Chhap" (Footprints), based on the life of Ayesha, a talented young woman born without both hands. The event was organized by Impress Telefilm at the auditorium of Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) in Tejgaon, Dhaka.

Bobby Hajjaj said no child should be left behind, emphasizing that physical disabilities or other challenges should never stand in the way of achieving one's dreams.

He added that the government is committed to nurturing the talent and potential of every child through the combined efforts of families, educational institutions, society and the state.

The state minister highlighted perseverance, consistent study and self-confidence as the key ingredients for success.

He said dedicated students can aspire to become doctors, scientists, teachers, astronauts or even hold the country's highest public offices.

Referring to Ayesha's inspiring journey, Hajjaj described her as a powerful example of how determination can overcome adversity.

He stressed, however, that such success stories should not remain exceptional and called for collective efforts to ensure every child has the opportunity to realize their potential.

He also announced that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has appointed Ayesha as a Class Supervisor at Gaibandha BIAM Laboratory School and College.

Hajjaj said the appointment reflects the government's commitment to merit, equal opportunity and humanitarian values, expressing gratitude to the prime minister for the decision.

The event was chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Textiles and attended by university faculty members, students, learners from educational institutions in the Tejgaon area, and members of the media.
