Govt appoints new DCs in 15 districts including Dhaka

The interim government has appointed new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in 15 districts, including Dhaka.

A notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration late Saturday (November 8) stated that six DCs have been transferred to new districts, while nine officials of deputy secretary rank have been promoted as DCs.

Among the transfers, Barguna DC Mohammad Shafiul Alam has been posted to Dhaka, Bagerhat DC Ahmed Kamrul Hasan to Noakhali, Kushtia DC Abu Hasnat Mohammad Arefin to Habiganj, Bhola DC Md Azad Jahan to Gazipur, Sirajganj DC Muhammad Nazrul Islam to Gaibandha, and Khulna DC Md Taufiqur Rahman to Bogura.

Newly appointed DCs include Sandeep Kumar Singha (Barguna), Md Aminul Islam (Sirajganj), Md Abdullah Al Mahmud (Magura), Abu Sayeed (Pirojpur), Afroza Akhter (Satkhira), Golam Md Baten (Bagerhat), S. M. Jamshed Khondoker (Khulna), Md Iqbal Hossain (Kushtia), and Shamim Rahman (Bhola).
