The government plans to bring changes to the primary scholarship examination policy in the future to encourage students, said State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj. He made the remarks after visiting the Motijheel Government Primary School examination centre in the capital on Wednesday, April 15.

The state minister said, "The scholarship policy will be reviewed anew. Issues such as the amount of scholarship money, the mode of disbursement, the number of students to receive scholarships, and the quota for private school students are being redefined."

He further said the government is also focusing on how to further encourage students. Additionally, plans are in place to organise the scholarship examination in a more orderly and effective manner in the future.

The state minister said the government is working to ensure a 100 per cent literacy rate for girls. New initiatives will be taken in the non-formal education system to achieve this goal.

Regarding the scholarship programme, Bobby Hajjaj said, "There are also plans to add new elements to the scholarship system to further motivate students."
