The interim government on Sunday published a preliminary list of 726 people who died during the student-led mass protests in July and August. Earlier on September 24, the government published a draft list of 708 names on the website of the Health Services Division under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The draft list was scrutinised again and the preliminary list of 726 was released on Sunday. The names and identities of the dead were collected from different public and private hospitals.

গত জুলাই ও আগস্ট মাসে শিক্ষার্থীদের নেতৃত্বাধীন ছাত্র-জনতার গণবিক্ষোভে নিহত ৭২৬ জনের প্রাথমিক তালিকা প্রকাশ করেছে অন্তর্বর্তীকালীন সরকার। এর আগে গত ২৪ সেপ্টেম্বর স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার কল্যাণ মন্ত্রণালয়ের আওতাধীন স্বাস্থ্যসেবা বিভাগের ওয়েবসাইটে ৭০৮ জনের নামের খসড়া তালিকা প্রকাশ করে সরকার। পরে ফের যাচাই-বাছাই করে রবিবার (৬ অক্টোবর) ৭২৬ জনের প্রাথমিক তালিকা প্রকাশ করা হয়। স্বাস্থ্যসেবা বিভাগের ওয়েবসাইট থেকে আরও জানা গেছে, নিহতদের নাম ও পরিচয় বিভিন্ন সরকারি ও বেসরকারি হাসপাতাল থেকে সংগ্রহ করা হয়েছে।
