Govt transfers 53 ASPs under major reshuffle nationwide

The Bangladesh Police has transferred 53 officers of the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) to different positions.

The transfer orders were issued on Sunday (March 8) through two separate notifications signed by Inspector General of Police Ali Hossain Fakir.

According to one notification, 40 additional superintendents of police were reassigned to various posts. The order stated that the officers, promoted from assistant superintendent to additional superintendent rank, will perform duties in their newly assigned positions until further instructions.

In another notification, 13 additional superintendents of police were transferred to different district circles across the country.

The notifications said the transfers were made in the public interest.
