Tarique Rahman said the government wants to eliminate corruption and harassment in land-related services and ensure accountability in all sectors on Tuesday (May 19). He made the remarks while inaugurating the “Land Service Fair-2026” at the Land Building in Tejgaon, Dhaka around 11:15am. The prime minister said land services would be provided through digital technology so that people would no longer have to make unnecessary visits to land offices or suffer harassment. The three-day “Land Service Fair-2026” began nationwide on May 19 and will continue until May 21. The prime minister formally inaugurated the fair.

ভূমি সেবায় দুর্নীতি ও হয়রানি বন্ধ করে প্রতিটি খাতে জবাবদিহিতা নিশ্চিত করতে সরকার বদ্ধপরিকর বলে জানিয়েছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী তারেক রহমান। মঙ্গলবার (১৯ মে) বেলা সোয়া ১১টার দিকে ঢাকা তেজগাঁওয়ের ভূমি ভবনে ‘ভূমি সেবা মেলা-২০২৬’ এর আনুষ্ঠানিক উদ্বোধনকালে তিনি এই মন্তব্য করেন। প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, ভূমি সেবায় দুর্নীতি ও হয়রানি বন্ধ করতে চায় সরকার। সব বিষয়ে সরকার দায়বদ্ধ থাকতে চায়। তিনি আরও&nbsp;বলেন, ডিজিটাল প্রযুক্তির মাধ্যমে ভূমিসেবা দেওয়া হবে, অযথা ভূমি অফিসে ঘোরাঘুরি বা হয়রানির শিকার হতে হবে না। আজ থেকে দেশব্যাপী শুরু হওয়া এই তিন দিনব্যাপী ‘ভূমি সেবা মেলা-২০২৬’ আগামী ২১ মে পর্যন্ত চলবে। প্রধানমন্ত্রী আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে দেশব্যাপী এই মেলার শুভ উদ্বোধন ঘোষণা করেন।
