HC dismisses writ seeking probe into 18-month activities of interim govt

The High Court has dismissed the writ seeking investigation into the 18-month activities of the interim government led by Dr. Yunus. The High Court bench of Justice Ahmed Sohel and Justice Fatema Anwar issued this order dismissing the writ on Thursday (May 21).

Earlier, a writ seeking investigation into the 18-month activities of the interim government led by Professor Dr. Yunus was filed on May 17. After the hearing that day, the High Court bench of Justice Ahmed Sohel and Justice Fatema Anwar posted the order for the day. On that day, lawyer MK Rahman and the writ petitioner Mohsin Rashid were in favor of the writ petition in the court. Attorney General Md. Ruhul Quddus Kajal was on behalf of the state.

At that time, lawyer MK Rahman said that a writ seeking investigation into the 18-month activities was filed. They have created anarchy in all sectors of the country for 18 months. In all sectors including the economy and health. It is desirable to have a commission under the Commission of Inquiry Act. So that in the future no elected government can come and overthrow it. The court heard that the Attorney General was also present at the time.

On the same day, the writ petitioner, Mohsin Rashid, said, "I have asked for an investigation into everything that happened. The government will decide how the entire investigation will be conducted." The Attorney General said, "I will find out a little." That is, he (the government) will take instructions. We also want him to come with instructions.
