HC permits American father to meet child twice a week

The High Court has given permission to Ameriacn national Garisson Lutel to meet his 3-years-old son twice in a week.

As per the court's directive, child’s mother Farhana Karim is to bring the infant to Uttara Club, Dhaka every Saturday and Tuesday.

Father Garrison Lutel will spend 11 am to 5pm with their son in the club.

An HC bench comprising of Justice Naima Haidar and Justice Kazi Jinat Haque passed the order on Tuesday, responding to a plea filed by the father.

Lawyer Fauzia Karim Firoz and Barrister Ruhul Kuddus Kajol stood for Garrison and Farhana respectively during Tuesday’s hearing.

According to the documents, Garrison came all the way to Bangladesh from the USA as he could not contact his child since his wife Farhana came Dhaka last year.

Failing to contact his son, Garrison filed the plea to resolve the matter legally.
