The High Court has asked the government to submit a report within 30 days as to what steps have been taken so far to combat the outbreak of measles. At the same time, the court also issued a ruling asking why the formation of a 10-member investigation committee will not be ordered to find the cause of the measles outbreak and identify the responsible persons.

The High Court bench of Justice Raziq-al-Jalil and Justice Debashish Roy Chowdhury issued this order and rule after hearing two separate writs on the measles issue on Tuesday. Apart from this, it has been asked why the rule should not be directed to pay adequate compensation to the families of every child who dies of measles and symptoms of measles.

Attorney General Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kajal, who participated in the hearing for the state, told the court that the information that the government has already taken will be submitted to the court soon.
