HC to hold virtual hearings 2 days a week
The High Court Division of the Supreme Court will conduct virtual hearings two days a week, in a move aimed at saving energy and addressing the ongoing global economic situation.
The decision was announced through a press release signed by Registrar Muhammad Nurul Amin Biploob of the High Court Division on Sunday.
According to the statement, the initiative has been taken in consideration of the current global economic conditions and to ensure savings in fuel and electricity consumption.
Under the new arrangement, court proceedings in the High Court Division will be conducted virtually for two days each week.
All concerned officials and stakeholders have been instructed to collect Zoom IDs and passwords from the High Court’s IT branch on Monday (April 20).
The move is part of broader efforts to reduce operational costs and improve efficiency within the judicial system amid rising energy concerns.
