HSC exams to begin July 2

The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will begin on July 2, Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milan announced on Saturday (April 18).

The decision was taken at a meeting held at the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Education Ministry.

Officials said there will be no “silent expulsion” system during this year’s examinations.

Dhaka Education Board Controller of Examinations Prof. SM Kamal Uddin confirmed the development, saying the schedule was finalised at the meeting.

In a first, this year’s HSC exams will be conducted with unified question papers across all 11 education boards, including nine general boards, as well as madrasa and technical boards.

Previously, only madrasa and technical boards followed a common question system, while general boards used separate papers.
