Humayun State Minister for Foreign Affairs-1, Shama Obaid-2

The government has distributed responsibilities between the two state ministers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a circular in this regard after the approval of the Prime Minister on Sunday.

According to the circular, newly appointed State Minister Humayun Kabir will assist the Foreign Minister as State Minister for Foreign Affairs-1 and Shama Obaid Islam as State Minister for Foreign Affairs-2.

As State Minister-1, Humayun Kabir will perform duties on bilateral and multilateral affairs, non-resident Bangladeshis and other issues determined by the Foreign Minister.

State Minister-2 Shama Obaid Islam will work on the parliamentary standing committee related to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, human rights, research and innovation, environment and climate change, creative economy, graduation from the list of least developed countries, information and communication technology, law of the sea and marine resources, global health diplomacy and cultural and sports diplomacy.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed this information in a statement on Sunday night.
