I am undergoing therapy, will return home when I feel better: Mirza Abbas

BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas, who is undergoing treatment in Malaysia, is recovering little by little. He is now receiving regular therapy.

On Wednesday afternoon, he shared information about his health on his mobile phone and asked for prayers from the countrymen.

When asked about his physical condition, Mirza Abbas told the media, "I am fine. I am still undergoing treatment. I am undergoing therapy. I will ask the countrymen to pray for me. I am thanking Allah, the Almighty."

When asked when he would return to the country, he said, "I will come back home when I feel better."

Mirza Abbas's wife Afroza Abbas said, "He is very healthy now, he is doing well. He is receiving regular therapy. He is staying in the hospital."

Mirza Abbas was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Bashundhara after he suddenly lost consciousness at his Dhaka residence during Iftar on March 11. A medical team comprising neurologists quickly performed brain surgery on him.

He was then airlifted to Singapore General Hospital on March 15. He recovered significantly after a month of treatment there. On the advice of doctors, he was transferred to the specialized Prince Court Hospital in Malaysia on April 14 for physiotherapy.
