ICT sets Dec 3, 7 as next hearings for 13 army officers
The International Crimes Tribunal-1 has fixed December 3 and 7 as the next hearing dates in two separate cases filed over abductions and torture in the TFI and JIC cells during the former Awami League government.
The two-member tribunal, led by Justice Golam Mortuza Mojumder, passed the order on Sunday (November 23).
Thirteen army officers were brought to the tribunal around 10.00am under tight security and later taken to the lockup.
The 13 army officers produced before the court are: Brig. Gen. Md. Jahangir Alam, former RAB Additional DG, Brig. Gen. Tofayel Mostafa Sarwar, Brig. Gen. Md. Kamrul Hasan, Brig. Gen. Md. Mahabub Alam, Brig. KM Azad, Col. Abdullah Al Momen, Col. Anwar Latif Khan (on LPR), Lt. Col. Md. Moshiur Rahman, former Director of RAB Intelligence Wing, Lt. Col. Saiful Islam Sumon, Lt. Col. Md. Sarwar Bin Kashem, Maj. Gen. Sheikh Md. Sarwar Hossain, former DGFI Director, Brig. Gen. Md. Mahbubur Rahman Siddiqui, Brig. Gen. Ahmed Tanvir Mazhar Siddiqui.
A total of 30 individuals, including ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, have been accused in the two cases.
