Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md. Ali Hossain Fakir has urged police members to play a more effective role in maintaining law and order. He made this call at an Eid reunion program organized at the Police Headquarters on Tuesday morning (March 24). The IGP said that members of all units, including highway, traffic and district police, have performed their duties with sincerity and dedication to make the journey of people heading home safe and comfortable this Eid. He exchanged Eid greetings with all levels of police officers, members and civil staff working at the Police Headquarters and extended his heartfelt greetings to them for the post-Eid. Additional IGs, heads of various units in Dhaka and officers and employees of the Police Headquarters were also present at the program.

ইন্সপেক্টর জেনারেল অব পুলিশ (আইজিপি) মো. আলী হোসেন ফকির পুলিশ সদস্যদের আইনশৃঙ্খলা রক্ষায় আরও কার্যকর ভূমিকা পালনের জন্য আহ্বান জানিয়েছেন। মঙ্গলবার (২৪ মার্চ) সকালে পুলিশ হেডকোয়ার্টার্সে আয়োজিত ঈদ পুনর্মিলনী অনুষ্ঠানে তিনি এ আহ্বান জানান। আইজিপি বলেন, এবারের ঈদে ঘরমুখো মানুষের যাত্রা নিরাপদ ও স্বস্তিদায়ক করতে হাইওয়ে, ট্রাফিক ও জেলা পুলিশসহ সকল ইউনিটের সদস্যরা আন্তরিকতা ও নিষ্ঠার সঙ্গে দায়িত্ব পালন করেছেন। তিনি পুলিশ হেডকোয়ার্টার্সে কর্মরত সকল পর্যায়ের পুলিশ কর্মকর্তা, সদস্য এবং সিভিল স্টাফদের সঙ্গে ঈদের শুভেচ্ছা বিনিময় করেছেন এবং তাদেরকে ঈদোত্তর আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা জানান। অনুষ্ঠানে অতিরিক্ত আইজিগণ, ঢাকাস্থ বিভিন্ন ইউনিটের প্রধানগণ এবং পুলিশ হেডকোয়ার্টার্সের কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীগণও উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
