IMF delegation meets PM Tarique Rahman
A delegation led by International Monetary Fund (IMF) Asia and Pacific Department Director Krishna Srinivasan held a meeting with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The meeting was held at the Prime Minister's Office in the Cabinet Division at the Secretariat at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 24.
The Prime Minister's Office said IMF's Asia and Pacific Department Director Krishna Srinivasan paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Bangladesh Secretariat in Dhaka today.
Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury was present at the time. Prime Minister's Economic Adviser Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir and Finance Secretary Dr Md Khairuzzaman Majumdar were also present at the meeting.
According to concerned sources, both sides held positive discussions on the ongoing IMF loan programme, financial sector reforms, and maintaining Bangladesh's economic stability.
Detailed discussions were held on the country's current economic situation and future cooperation during the meeting.
