India positive about resuming issuance of medical and business visas: Humayun Kabir
India is positive about resuming the issuance of medical and business visas in a short time, said Humayun Kabir, the Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser.
He made this statement while talking to reporters after a meeting at the Secretariat on Monday (April 13).
He also said that various recent diplomatic and political issues were discussed in the meeting.
He said that the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will never agree to any agreement that sells out the country's interests.
He said that the issue of bringing former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina back to the country will be completed through proper legal processes.
Regarding the visit to India, Humayun Kabir said that the recent contacts and visits of high-level officials with the country will play an important role in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
He also said that as a government elected by the people, there will be no complications in BNP's cooperation with India - which was seen during the interim government.
The adviser also said that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman may soon visit a South Asian country, although the destination has not yet been finalized.
He also said that the meeting discussed issues of protecting Bangladesh's sovereignty and national interests with importance. The possibility of resuming medical and business visa programs with India also came up for discussion.
