Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar conveyed a message of condolence to BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. Earlier today, he arrived in Dhaka at 11:55am on a special Indian Air Force flight to attend the janaza and burial of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. He was received at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by senior officials, including Ishrat Jahan, director general of the South Asia Wing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma.&nbsp;

বিএনপি চেয়ারপারসন ও সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী খালেদা জিয়ার জানাজা ও দাফন হচ্ছে আজ। খালেদা জিয়ার প্রতি শেষ শ্রদ্ধা জানাতে ঢাকায় এসেছেন ভারতের পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী এস জয়শঙ্কর। এসেই তিনি বিএনপির ভারপ্রাপ্ত চেয়ারম্যান তারেক রহমানকে শোকবার্তা পৌঁছে দেন। বুধবার (৩১ ডিসেম্বর) বেলা ১১টা ৫৫ মিনিটে ভারতীয় বিমানবাহিনীর একটি বিশেষ ফ্লাইটে তিনি ঢাকায় পৌঁছান জয়শঙ্কর। ঢাকার হযরত শাহজালাল আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দরে তার বহনকারী বিমান অবতরণ করে। পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ের দক্ষিণ এশিয়া উইংয়ের মহাপরিচালক ইশরাত জাহানসহ অন্যান্য কর্মকর্তারা তাকে স্বাগত জানান। এ সময় ঢাকায় নিযুক্ত ভারতীয় হাইকমিশনার প্রণব ভার্মাও&nbsp;উপস্থিত&nbsp;ছিলেন।
