Indian High Commissioner meets Dhaka University VC

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor A B M Obaidul Islam at the VC's office on Monday, April 6.

During the meeting, they discussed various issues including education, research and expanding mutual cooperation.

The vice-chancellor noted the significant similarities between the higher education systems of Bangladesh and India, which could create a strong foundation for future collaboration. He emphasised aligning education with industry demands and developing modern curricula.

Both sides expressed interest in increasing cooperation between Dhaka University and various Indian educational institutions, particularly in joint research, teacher-student exchange programmes and implementing MoUs.

Verma invited a Dhaka University delegation to visit India, saying effective cooperation could be established through direct discussions with concerned universities.
