Inquilab Mancha has announced simultaneous blockade programs across eight divisional cities on Sunday (December 28) to demand justice for Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi and to free Bangladesh from what it calls “Indian influence.”

The announcement was made from the capital's Shahbagh late Saturday night (December 27), during the ongoing sit-in by the organisation, by its Secretary Abdullah Al Jaber.

He said the blockades will start at 2:00pm in all eight divisional cities.

Addressing supporters gathered at Shahbagh, he urged them to return the next day and continue the struggle for justice. He emphasised that the blockade would not be called off under any provocation or pressure.

Abdullah Al Jaber claimed that the blockade is not only about seeking justice for Hadi but also a movement to “free Bangladesh from Indian influence.” He warned that if the chief adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus fails to take visible action in the case, they would not accept him either. He stressed that they will not compromise with any adviser in their fight for justice.

He also criticised certain media outlets, saying they are spreading misinformation about the movement, including false reports that the protesters intend to “besiege the Jamuna building,” labeling such claims as portraying them as terrorists. He instructed supporters to rely only on official announcements from Inqilab Mancha’s page.

Abdullah Al Jaber added that despite receiving death threats over the past few days, the protesters are unafraid of death and are standing on the streets with the desire for martyrdom. He asked the crowd if they would stop the struggle if they were martyred, and when the crowd responded with a unanimous “no,” he pledged to continue the movement.
