The President has given his consent to the formation of a new government under his leadership. It is mentioned that with the formation of the new government, the advisory council of the current interim government has been dissolved.

After the fall of the Awami League government in the July-August 2024 mass uprising, an interim government was formed on August 8 of the same year under the leadership of Dr. Yunus.
