Interim government’s first 4 ECNEC projects
In the first meeting of Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) after the formation of the interim government, four projects have been approved.
This approval was given in the ECNEC meeting chaired by the Chief Advisor and ECNEC Chairperson DR Muhammad Yunus at the CA office in the capital on Wednesday (September 18).
Four projects
Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry’s “Construction of Bakhrabad-Meghnaghat-Haripur Gas Transmission Pipeline (1st Revised)”
The expenditure in the amended project has been increased by Tk 70.63 crore.
“Two
Appraisal Cum Development Wells (Sundalpur-4 and Srikail-5) and Two Exploration
Wells (Sundalpur South-1 and Jamalpur-1)”
The project under Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry to be implemented with a
cost of Tk 588.40 crore.
“Sustainable Social Services Project in Chattogram Hill Tracts (Phase 2)”
The Tk 400 crore project have been allocated for this project. Out of this, Tk 299.84 crore will come from the government while UNICEF will contribute the rest.
Tathya Apa: Women’s Empowerment Project through
Information Communication Technology to Build Digital Bangladesh (2nd
Phase) (2nd Revised).
The project, to be implemented by Women and Child Affairs Ministry, has been approved extending the implementation period by one year with instructions to change the name of the project as well as re-estimate the cost.
