Inu shown arrested in another crimes against humanity case

The International Crimes Tribunal-1 has shown arrested Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JaSaD) President Hasanul Haq Inu in a crimes against humanity case linked to the July movement in Kushtia.
When Inu was presented before the tribunal on Thursday (August 21), the prosecution requested that he be shown arrested in the case. Following the hearing, the three-member bench led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Majumdar approved the plea.
Tribunal prosecutor Mizanul Islam said, “Several murders occurred in Kushtia during last year’s July-August movement. In one of these incidents, Hasanul Haq Inu was brought before the tribunal in a crimes against humanity case. The tribunal has shown him arrested in the case and sent him back to prison.”
Another case concerning genocide and crimes against humanity during the movement is also being tried at the same tribunal. The case involves 45 accused, including Sheikh Hasina, Awami League General Secretary and former minister Obaidul Quader, and Workers Party president and former minister Rashed Khan Menon, with Hasanul Haq Inu among the accused.
The plaintiff in the case is Md Abul Hasan, father of Shahriar Hasan Alvi, a 15-year-old ninth-grade student of Desh Polytechnic College, who was killed in capital's Mirpur on August 4 last year. Hasanul Haq Inu and 15 other accused in the case are currently in prison following their arrests.
