Ireland keen to enhance cooperation with Bangladesh Police
Irish Ambassador to Bangladesh Kevin Kelly has paid a courtesy call on Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir at the Police Headquarters in Dhaka.
During the meeting held on Tuesday, March 31, discussions focused on strengthening mutual cooperation between the police forces of the two countries. Both sides also exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest, including ongoing reforms within Bangladesh Police.
The IGP briefed the ambassador on the reform initiatives and various ongoing programmes of Bangladesh Police. He sought cooperation from the Irish government in enhancing the capacity of the force.
Ambassador Kevin Kelly expressed Ireland's keen interest in strengthening cooperation with Bangladesh Police. Senior police officials were present at the meeting.
