Italy's ambassador to Dhaka, Antonio Alessandro, stated that Italy will collaborate with Bangladesh to support police reform and formalize immigration processes. The ambassador made these remarks during a courtesy meeting with Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus at his Tejgaon office. He said, "We want to protect Bangladesh migrants. We have to work for better regular migration." The discussion focused on safe, organized, and regular migration to Italy, economic and trade cooperation, and police reform. The Italian ambassador also praised the interim government's reform initiatives and offered Italy's support for police reform, including training for security forces.

ঢাকায় নিযুক্ত ইতালির রাষ্ট্রদূত আন্তোনিও আলেসান্দ্রো বলেছেন, ইতালি বাংলাদেশের পুলিশ সংস্কারে সহায়তা এবং দেশটিতে আনুষ্ঠানিক অভিবাসনের জন্য একসঙ্গে কাজ করবে। বুধবার তেজগাঁওয়ে প্রধান উপদেষ্টা ড. মুহাম্মদ ইউনূসের সঙ্গে সৌজন্য সাক্ষাতকালে রাষ্ট্রদূত এ কথা জানান। আলোচনায় ইতালিতে নিরাপদ, সংগঠিত ও নিয়মিত অভিবাসন, অর্থনৈতিক ও বাণিজ্য সহযোগিতা এবং পুলিশ সংস্কার প্রাধান্য পেয়েছে। ইতালির রাষ্ট্রদূত অন্তর্বর্তী সরকারের সংস্কার প্রচেষ্টার প্রশংসা করে নিরাপত্তা বাহিনীর প্রশিক্ষণসহ পুলিশ সংস্কারে ইতালির সহায়তার প্রস্তাব দেন।
