Jamaat announces 41-point election manifesto
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has officially announced its 41-point election manifesto ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections.
The party's manifesto has been named 'People's Manifesto'. The manifesto has been presented focusing on state reform, establishing good governance and the outline of building a self-reliant Bangladesh.
The manifesto announcement ceremony was held at Hotel Sheraton in Banani, after 6:30 pm on Wednesday (February 4). The programme began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Then the visual of the 'People's Manifesto' was presented.
Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman delivered the welcome speech at the programme.
The manifesto has given special importance to a total of 26 issues, including the primacy of youth in running the state, ensuring women's safety, building a technology-based society, implementing the July Charter and abolishing the fascist system. Keeping these priority areas in mind, the party has outlined 41-point election promises.
