Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami reported a decline in annual income in 2025 compared with the previous year, according to the party's financial statement submitted to the Election Commission (EC).

The statement shows that the party earned Tk 23.68 crore during the 2025 calendar year, while its total expenditure stood at Tk 23.91 crore, leaving spending slightly higher than income.

Under Election Commission regulations, all registered political parties are required to submit their audited annual income and expenditure statements by July 31 each year. Jamaat filed its financial report within the stipulated deadline.

According to EC sources, the party began 2025 with Tk 15.73 crore in funds. At the end of the year, it reported Tk 7.51 crore in cash and Tk 7.98 crore deposited in bank accounts.

The latest figures also indicate a year-on-year decline in Jamaat's income. In 2024, the party reported earnings of Tk 28.97 crore, while expenditure amounted to Tk 23.73 crore. Compared with that year, Jamaat's income fell noticeably in 2025.

Earlier, on July 19, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) also submitted its annual financial statement to the Election Commission. According to its filing, the party earned Tk 22.19 crore in 2025 and spent Tk 15.26 crore, recording a surplus of nearly Tk 6.93 crore.

The BNP's statement further showed Tk 28.04 crore in bank deposits and Tk 2.79 lakh in cash at the close of the reporting period.

The financial disclosures are part of the Election Commission's annual compliance process aimed at ensuring greater transparency and accountability in the financial management of registered political parties.
