JCD relieves 15 JU leaders for neglecting duties

The central committee of Jatiotabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has relieved 15 leaders of its Jahangirnagar University unit from their organizational roles, citing negligence in performing their duties.

The decision was announced in a press release signed by Md Jahangir Alam, central office secretary of JCD, on Friday afternoon.

The leaders removed from their posts include Joint Conveners Md Hasan, Masum Rahat, Rajib Hasan, Sahanur Rahman, along with members Nur Hossain, Ismail Hossain Baki, Firoz Ahmed Rana, Tanvir Hossain, Rihab Hossain, Imran Hossain, Abir Hasan, Atikur Rahman Akash, Khandaker Sakib Anjum Sharfi, Sultan Ahmed, and Nasir Uddin Mia.

The press release stated that this action was taken following the decision of the Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chhatra Dal central committee, due to the leaders’ negligence in organizational responsibilities within the JU unit.

The move received approval from Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chhatra Dal President Rakibul Islam and General Secretary Nasir Uddin.

Earlier this year, on January 8, the JCD central committee had announced a 177-member convening committee for the Jahangirnagar University unit.
