July injured arrive at tribunal premises to hear verdict
On Monday, November 17, Mir Mahbubur Rahman (Snigdho), brother of Mir Mahfuzur Rahman (Mughdho), who was martyred in the July uprising, arrived at the International Crimes Tribunal premises along with several injured from the uprising.
Today the verdict will be announced in the case filed over crimes against humanity committed during the July uprising against ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and two other accused. Security has been tightened across the tribunal premises ahead of the verdict.
The verdict proceedings are scheduled to be broadcast live from the courtroom of International Crimes Tribunal-1. This is the first case filed over crimes against humanity, including killings, committed during the uprising.
The three-member International Crimes Tribunal-1, headed by Justice Golam Mortuza Majumder, will announce the verdict. The other two members are Justice Md Shafiul Alam Mahmood and Justice Md Mohitul Haque Enam Chowdhury.
