July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum to open Wednesday
The July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum will be inaugurated on Wednesday (August 5). Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will inaugurate the museum at 9am on the day.
Politicians have described it as more than just a building—a living memorial to the resistance, sacrifice and struggle of millions.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Cultural Affairs has said the museum will be opened to the general public following the inauguration.
The museum houses photographs, videos, documents, memorabilia of the martyrs and testimonies of eyewitnesses from the July Mass Uprising. Special programmes for students, researchers and history enthusiasts, guided tours and online ticketing facilities are also being arranged.
