Junior scholarship exam results published

The results of the Junior scholarship examination, held after a gap of 17 years, have been published. A total of 46,200 students have been selected in two categories. Among them, 14,700 have received Talentpool scholarships and 31,500 in the general category.

Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon announced the results at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, February 25.

State Minister Bobby Hajjaj was present at the event organised at the conference room of the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Education Ministry.

According to the published results, 3,15,160 students participated in the examination across the country under nine general education boards. From them, a total of 46,200 students have been selected for scholarships.

Under Dhaka Education Board, 3,635 have received Talentpool and 7,790 general scholarships; Mymensingh Board: 967 Talentpool, 2,073 general; Rajshahi Board: 1,926 Talentpool, 4,128 general; Cumilla Board: 1,677 Talentpool, 3,593 general; Sylhet Board: 948 Talentpool, 2,030 general; Barishal Board: 873 Talentpool, 1,871 general; Jashore Board: 1,662 Talentpool, 3,561 general; Chattogram Board: 1,210 Talentpool, 2,593 general; Dinajpur Board: 1,802 Talentpool, 3,861 general.

Talentpool scholarship recipients will receive Tk 450 per month, while general category students will receive Tk 300 per month. This financial assistance will be provided until classes nine and ten (two years). Additionally, a one-time annual grant will also be given.

The examinations were held at 611 centres across the country on December 28-30 last year and January 6 this year.
