Kamruzzaman Chowdhury appointed new secretary for Public Administration

The government has reshuffled the top administrative post at the Ministry of Public Administration. Contractual Secretary Md Ehsanul Haque has been removed from the ministry, while Md Kamruzzaman Chowdhury, who was serving as secretary of the Health Services Division on a contractual basis, has been appointed as the new secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification to this effect on Wednesday (September 2), confirming the appointment of Md Kamruzzaman Chowdhury as secretary of the ministry.

Prior to his new appointment, Kamruzzaman Chowdhury had been serving as secretary of the Health Services Division on a contractual basis. He will now lead the administrative activities of the Ministry of Public Administration.

Meanwhile, Md Ehsanul Haque, the current senior secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, has been transferred to the Planning Commission as a member. He was also serving on a contractual appointment.

The government’s decision marks a change in the top administrative leadership of the Ministry of Public Administration, while also assigning Ehsanul Haque a new role at the Planning Commission.
