Kazi Jesin appointed BTV DG

Media personality Kazi Jesin has been appointed director general (Grade-1) of Bangladesh Television (BTV) on a one-year contractual basis.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification regarding the appointment on Wednesday.

The notification, signed by Deputy Secretary Md Golam Rabbani by order of the President, said the appointment was made under Section 11(1) of the Bangladesh Television Authority Act, 2001.

According to the notification, Kazi Jesin must relinquish any other profession, business or employment with any government, semi-government or private organisation before assuming the post. She will serve as the director general of BTV for one year from the date of joining.

The notification added that other terms and conditions of the appointment will be specified in the contract.

It also said the appointment has been made in the public interest.
