Khaleda Zia in critical condition: Dr Zahid

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is going through an extremely critical phase of her illness, her personal physician Dr AZM Zahid Hossain said on Saturday night (December 27).

Speaking to reporters at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka, Dr Zahid said her condition has not improved since admission and remains complex and serious. She is currently under intensive care in the Critical Care Unit.

Earlier, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and his wife Dr Zubaida Rahman visited the hospital and spent time by her bedside.

Dr Zahid urged the public to pray for Khaleda Zia’s recovery and thanked doctors, nurses and hospital staff for their continued care.

Khaleda Zia has been receiving treatment under a medical board led by Prof Shahabuddin Talukder since her admission on November 23.
