Khaleda Zia’s body en route to Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban

The body of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is being transported from Gulshan to the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban under tight security.

The body is being carried in a freezer van draped in the red and green national flag.

The procession began at 11:05am from Tarique Rahman’s residence at 196 Gulshan Avenue. Following a designated route via Gulshan-2, Kamal Ataturk Avenue, Airport Road, Mohakhali Flyover, Jahangir Gate, and Bijoy Sarani, the van will enter the South Plaza through Gate 6 of the parliament.

Earlier, at 8:54am, Khaleda Zia’s body was taken from Evercare Hospital. Initially planned to be moved to her longtime residence ‘Firoza,’ the route was later changed to her son Tarique Rahman’s Gulshan residence. Family members, relatives, and BNP leaders paid their final respects there until the van departed.
