Khalilur, Taiyeb, and Akhtar appointed as Biman directors

Dr. Khalilur Rahman, National Security Advisor and High Representative on Rohingya Affairs, Foyez Ahmed Taiyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor, and Akhtar Ahmed, Senior Secretary of the Election Commission Secretariat, have been appointed as members of the Board of Directors of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited.

A government notification regarding the appointments was issued on Wednesday (14 January) by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, following the President’s order.

The notification, signed by the Ministry’s Senior Assistant Secretary Ms. Shakila Parvin, states that under Section 30(B) of the Bangladesh Airlines Act, 2023, they have been appointed as directors of the Board of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited. The order, issued in the public interest, takes immediate effect.
