Legal notice issued seeking removal of IGP within 24 hours
A legal notice has been served demanding the removal of the current Inspector General of Police (IGP), Baharul Alam, within 24 hours, after his name appeared on the list of individuals held responsible in the national independent investigation commission report on the BDR massacre.
On Thursday (December 4), three Supreme Court lawyers sent the notice to the Chief Adviser’s Principal Secretary, the Home Secretary, the Public Administration Secretary, and the Law Secretary.
The notice warns that if the IGP is not removed within the stipulated 24 hours, legal action will be initiated against him.
The legal notice was issued by advocates Md Abdus Samad, Shahin Hossain, and Md Atiqur Rahman.
