‘Let’s go to war’ says PM
The first working day of the week, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman left his residence like any other day on Sunday morning. However, he opened the door and said to everyone present with a smile, ‘Let’s go to war.’
This comment caused surprise among the officials present for a moment. Later, they realized that the Prime Minister had referred to the responsibility of running the country and the daily challenges as ‘war’ in a metaphorical sense.
The Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon said that he left for the Secretariat from his Gulshan residence in the capital at 8:42am. As usual, his personal officials and security personnel were ready. The Prime Minister made the comment with a natural smile right then.
He also said that the Prime Minister reached the Secretariat at around 9:30am. He has several meetings there throughout the day.
Today's agenda includes meetings with Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon, Prime Minister's Education Advisor Mahdi Amin, and Bangladesh Board of Investment Executive Chairman Ashik Chowdhury.
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to attend several other meetings throughout the day.
