Lion spotted outside enclosure at zoo, authorities trying to bring it under control
A lion has come out of its enclosure at the National Zoo in Dhaka, and zoo authorities are attempting to bring it under control. No one has been harmed so far.
National Zoo director Dr Mohammad Rafiqul Islam Talukder confirmed the matter at 6:15pm on Friday, December 5. He said, “One of our lions came out of a field cage at around 4:45pm. There is no reason to panic. The lion is now lying beside the enclosure. We have deployed security personnel at various points. Within a short time, the lion will be safely brought under control.”
He further said, “The lion has not harmed anyone so far. We have fenced the area and ensured security. The public is safe, and there is no reason to be afraid.”
