M Siraj Uddin Miah, Principal Secretary (on contract) to the Chief Adviser, has been given additional charge as Cabinet Secretary (on contract). The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification regarding this on Saturday, February 14. The notification stated that he has been assigned the duties of Cabinet Secretary in addition to his current responsibilities. Earlier on the same day, through a separate notification, the contractual tenure of Cabinet Secretary Sheikh Abdur Rashid was terminated.

মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব (চুক্তিভিত্তিক) হিসেবে অতিরিক্ত দায়িত্ব পেয়েছেন প্রধান উপদেষ্টার মুখ্য সচিব (চুক্তিভিত্তিক) এম সিরাজ উদ্দিন মিয়া। শনিবার (১৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি) জনপ্রশাসন মন্ত্রণালয় এ সংক্রান্ত প্রজ্ঞাপন জারি করে। প্রজ্ঞাপনে জানানো হয়, বর্তমান দায়িত্বের পাশাপাশি তাকে মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিবের দায়িত্ব অর্পণ করা হয়েছে। এর আগে একই দিন পৃথক প্রজ্ঞাপনের মাধ্যমে মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব শেখ আব্দুর রশীদ-এর চুক্তির মেয়াদ বাতিল করা হয়।
