The main accused of Mamun murder case and Khagrachhari district Awami League Organising Secretary Md Didarul Alam has been arrested on Thursday. He was the instigator behind the recent conflict between Bangalee and indigenous community in the district, said Inamul Haque Sagor, AIG (media) of police. Didarul is the fugitive accused in more than 40 cases, he added.

মামুন হত্যা মামলার প্রধান আসামি ও খাগড়াছড়ি জেলা আওয়ামী লীগের সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক মো. দিদারুল আলমকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়েছে। বৃহস্পতিবার (১৪ নভেম্বর) পুলিশের এআইজি (মিডিয়া) ইনামুল হক সাগর তাকে গ্রেপ্তারের কথা জানান। তিনি বলেন, জেলায় বাঙালি ও আদিবাসী সম্প্রদায়ের মধ্যে সাম্প্রতিক সংঘর্ষের পেছনে দিদারুল আলম উসকানি দিয়েছিলো। দিদারুল ৪০টিরও বেশি মামলার পলাতক আসামি বলেও জানান ইনামুল হক।
