Main Eid congregation to be held at National Eidgah, 5 congregations at Baitul Mukarram

The main congregation of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr will be held at the National Eidgah Maidan at 8:30am. The congregation will be led by Mufti Muhammad Abdul Malek, Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.

The Islamic Foundation said that Mufassir Maulana Md. Abu Saleh Patwari will be the alternate imam of the main congregation.

A press release by the Islamic Foundation on Wednesday said that five Eid congregations will be held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque this time too.

These congregations will be held at 7am, 8am, 9am, 10am and 10:45 am on Eid day.

The first congregation will be led by Maulana Mizanur Rahman, Senior Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque. The second congregation will be led by Mufti Muhibullahil Baki Nadvi. The third congregation will be led by Maulana Md. Zakir Hossain, Deputy Director of the Islamic Foundation.

The fourth congregation will be led by Maulana Zobayer Ahmed Al Azhari, a religious instructor at the Imam Training Academy, and the fifth and final congregation will be led by Mufti Maulana Mohammad Abdullah of the Islamic Foundation.

In addition, Maulana Shahidul Islam, an assistant librarian at the Islamic Foundation, will be ready as an alternate imam.

Depending on the sighting of the moon, the holy Eid-ul-Fitr may be celebrated in Bangladesh on Friday or Saturday.
