The new government has announced major changes in the examination and evaluation system of students. The Ministry of Education will publish the roadmap for this reform after Eid-ul-Fitr.

State Minister for Education and Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj gave this information at a press conference held at the ministry's meeting room at 1:15 pm on Thursday (February 19).

Minister for Education and Primary and Mass Education Dr. ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon was present at the same time.

In the first phase, the ministry will conduct a 'diagnostic review of budget and project implementation', 'root-cause analysis based on the reasons for the return of 53 percent of the development budget', and 'providing tabs to teachers, pilot design of multimedia classrooms and language education' until Eid-ul-Fitr.

In the second phase, a national education roadmap will be announced after Eid-ul-Fitr with the consent of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. It will be ministry-based, department-based and with measurable indicators.

In the third phase, i.e. the next 12 to 36 months, major technological reforms will be brought in the examination and assessment system. This will bridge the gap between technical, general and madrasa education. In addition, research and innovation grants at the university level will also be increased.

State Minister for Education Bobby Hajjaj said that through the implementation of this three-phase roadmap, it will be possible to bring about quality and technology-based changes in the education sector in Bangladesh.
