Major reshuffle in judiciary
The interim government has implemented a significant reshuffle in the judiciary, transferring 230 judges in total.
The Ministry of Law issued four separate notifications regarding the transfers on Monday (August 25).
According to the notifications, 41 District Judges, 53 Additional District Judges, 40 Joint District Judges, and 96 Senior Assistant and Assistant Judges have been transferred.
The notifications stated that these transfers of lower court judges were made in consultation with the Supreme Court.
Earlier this year, on June 3, another round of transfers and promotions took place in the judiciary, involving 265 lower court judges. Last year, on September 7, the government had transferred and promoted 244 lower court judges.
