A high-level Malaysian delegation has arrived in Dhaka with the aim of further expanding cooperation between Bangladesh and Malaysia in the manpower sector and increasing opportunities for recruiting skilled workers. Those concerned hope this visit will bring new momentum to labour market-based cooperation between the two countries.

Bangladesh Overseas Employment and Services Limited (BOESL) said in a press release that the delegation arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 2:00am on Monday (August 3). They were officially welcomed by BOESL upon arrival.

BOESL Managing Director Mohammad Rashedul Haque welcomed the delegation and presented flowers to the head of the delegation as a token of greeting .

BOESL said discussions will be held during the visit on various issues, including manpower export between the two countries, recruitment of skilled Bangladeshi workers, expansion of the labour market, and strengthening mutual cooperation. These discussions are expected to help create new employment opportunities for Bangladeshi workers in the future and facilitate easier access to Malaysia's labour market.

The organisation further said the visit has been arranged with the aim of making the existing manpower cooperation between Bangladesh and Malaysia more effective and sustainable. Special emphasis will be given to strengthening coordination between the two countries in sending skilled and trained manpower.

BOESL General Manager Noor Ahmed, Deputy Manager Sayeed Saleheen, and officials from the Airport Welfare Desk were also present during the reception.
