Massive fire breaks out in Uttara Sector-14 at midnight

A massive fire broke out in Bot tola area adjacent to the Chairman Bari in Uttara Sector-14 of the capital at midnight. The fire spread within moments and the surrounding area was covered in thick smoke.

Local sources said that in the stillness of the night, the locals suddenly saw the flames of the fire. The fire quickly spread to the surrounding structures and trees, creating panic in the area. Many people moved to safer places.

Upon receiving the information, multiple units of the fire service reached the spot and started working to control the fire. However, till the time of writing this report, no definite information was available about the specific cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.

Initially, it is believed that the fire may have started due to an electrical short circuit or some other unknown reason. However, it is still not possible to say for sure who or how started the fire.

The incident is being investigated, authorities said. No casualties have been reported so far.
